Casey James Takes Houston By Storm

thanks @CoolCJFan

Fort Worth native Casey James spent the day a few hours from home, in Houston, Texas, entertaining fans at two separate radio-station sponsored events.

Casey played songs off his new CD and signed the CD for enthusiastic fans, just hours after blowing the roof off of Billy Bob’s Texas in his hometown last night.

First on the schedule was a visit to the KILT Muve Music Lounge.  Houston radio station KILT has played the heck out of “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night” and the hit single has been a staple on the station’s top 4@4 and top 8@8 countdowns and is on their Top 40 Countdown.  The fans were very excited to finally get Casey to Houston and he returned the enthusiasm, entertaining the crowd with some of his new songs.

Casey played one song that didn’t make the album, “Why I’m Feeling Blue.”  He reminded us that he wrote this piece with the same writers he wrote “Drive” with, the Warren Brothers.  He also said that he hopes the song will be on his next album.  Casey concluded his set with “Drive.”  Introducing the tune, he mentioned that he plays it on a dobro on his CD and thinks this song is the most fun when played on that instrument.

KILT took dozens of excellent photos, which you can check out on their website here.

Next Houston country radio station KKBQ sponsored a visit by Casey at the Best Buy in Houston where he played “She’s Money,” “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night,” and “Drive” off of his debut “Casey James.”  He then signed copies of his new CD for the fans.

  1. Awesome! Wish I could have been there, but Houston is 1,095.88 miles away from me. Hope I can have my CD’s signed when I see him in May at Toby Keiths and Joe’s Bar. =D

Also, the conf. call from his performance at Billy Bobs was Amazing! Wow, so much energy coming through the phone line! I bet all the Casey Girls had a blast!
