Casey James Takes the Stage at WCTK’s Cat Country Snowball Benefit in Cranston, RI

Tonight, shortly after 7, Casey James and drummer Blaine Crews took the stage as part of WCTK 98.1 Cat Country’s 4th Annual Cat Country Snowball, a benefit for the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign.  The event was held at the Rhodes on the Pawtuxet in Cranston, RI.  Below is the setlist, which included one of TCJB’s Shari Geller’s favorites, “Polk Salad Annie.” Seems Casey knows Shari likes the song because he dedicated the song to her!

Before Casey started, a few members of the crowd asked him to take his hat off (he explained that he and Blaine had just gotten off a plane, hence their dressed down appearance).  When another request to take off the hat came just as Casey was launching into the first song, he showed that famous sense of humor, saying, “Come on, I’m not telling you all to take stuff off,” adding with a sly smile,”If we’re gonna play that game….”

Setlist

The Good Life
Workin’ On It
She’s Money
Let’s Don’t Call It a Night
Polk Salad Annie
Why I’m Feeling Blue
The Apartment Song
Love the Way You Miss Me
Drive

Tracie Smith was kind enough to call in from the concert fans who could not be at the show could listen live.  Click below to listen to the recording of the show.

  2. lisa says:

the knit cap really looks nice on Casey,he is one of few that looks good in it.I would love to see a ponytail for his next set of pics from a concert.

  3. Casey U even can make a knit cap and blue sneakers look good and u sound awsome too 🙂

  4. cynyn says:

Looks like those neck pillows worked real good, they sound and look just GREAT, so much fun to watch and listen, our Casey is just so good looking and that sweater was the first thing I noticed!

  5. Donna Camarata says:

He looked and sounded terrific as always! I noticed the sweater right off too Cyndee! He just doesn’t take bad pictures no matter what, hat or no hat boots or no boots. And I must say there is something very comforting in seeing those blue sneakers!

  6. Laura Patterson says:

Thoroughly enjoyed watching these videos! Casey and Blaine sound great together. I love Casey’s chatting with the crowd and his playfulness re taking off the hat. God, he looks amazing regardless of what he’s wearing or not wearing. Figures that even when he takes the hat off, he doesn’t have hat-head, his hair is beautiful. Must be tough! 🙂

  7. Aunt Sherry says:

Told y’all he doesn’t want it to be about his hair…he might as well get over that!!! HA
Love the videos and seeing him have fun with the crowd.

    • jennifer bussone says:

When I met him in Grand Rapids I told him “It’s not about the hair.” His eyes got real big and he said “Thank You!!!” 😉

      • Aunt Sherry says:

That’s great – sure he appreciated it!

      • Carol says:

No, it’s not ALL about his hair. I Love his voice and his music, and I’ll admit that I Love his hair, but his eyes are gorgeous too. 😀 But no, seriously. Love his music and can’t wait for his CD!

    • Laura says:

At one point, he said “I’ll take the hat off at the end so you are forced to listen to the music” He has a great sense of humor about it.

      • Carol says:

I saw that in the video, him taking his hat off at the end. *LOL* The crowd went wild!

A good sense of humor is always best. It just adds to the many reasons why we love him so much! 😀

  8. kathyt1 says:

  9. Many thanks to all Casey Girls for sharing! Just so great videos and picks! 😀 And I love always a summary of concerts…descriptions of Casey’s chatting with the crowd… because it’s hard to understand spoken in foreign language – thank you so much, Shari & Co! Hugs from the one Crasey ( a.k.a. crazy?!… I understand correctly? 😉 ) in Latvia! Love so much the Casey James Gang! 🙂

  13. CANADIAN CASEYFAN says:

He looks fantastic!! Wow!! It must have been a pleasure to be in the audience!

  14. CANADIAN CASEYFAN says:

Great to hear how great he sounds, and love the way he can change up his looks and kick it up!! Yeoww!!!! It’s so easy to watch him move around on stage with his hair tucked under and out of the way! But I want him to keep the long hair, just refreshing to see different angles of Casey. He is a blast to hear him share words with the audience, great style and comfort on stage.

  15. Carol says:

Awesome! I Wish I had been there! Thanks SO Much for the video’s! 😀

  16. Patti (MsVerucas) says:
