Preparations for Casey James’ Benefit Concert tonight in Knoxville, TN

Casey James will take the stage at around 9:30 PM at Cotton Eyed Joe’s in Knoxville, Tennessee for a very special benefit show.  The concert, sponsored by radio station WIVK 107.7, is to raise money for 18-year-old Savannah Burns, daughter of Keith Burns from Trick Pony and The Boot.  Savannah was diagnosed with APML Leukemia earlier this year and is still battling this disease.

Tickets to the concert were just $5 with all the proceeds going to Savannah’s treatment.    You can read about Savannah’s journey on her Caring Bridge Journal website, here.

Thanks to Regina Roberts, we will be able to listen LIVE to Casey’s set tonight.  At around 9:30 EST call in to 1-712-432-0075 and enter code 654945# to listen in.  You can also join other fans in the Chat Room during the concert.

Opening the show are Andy Gibson and Glen Templeton.  Let’s send our thoughts and prayers to Savannah and her family and join in the celebration of music and life.

Shari, is there a way to donate online towards tonights benefit?

I asked both the radio station and the father’s record company for donation information once I realized that the link they provided was broken, but neither got back to me. I’m very sorry. You can donate to Caring Bridge via that link, the company that runs the updates for friends/family to stay in touch.

Thanks Shari :-), I will go through Caring Bridge then… Let me know if you find out that there would be also a possibility to donate towards tonight’s benefit so it would go under Casey’s name 🙂
I’ll see if I can reach radio too and if I’d find out anything, I will let you know 🙂
