Tonight shortly after 8:30, Casey took the stage as part of the 94.7 QDR Christmas Wish Concert with Chris Cagle and Neal McCoy at the Longbranch nightclub in Raleigh, NC. The event will benefit North Carolina families in need during the holiday season. Casey started out his set by lauding the charity, saying that being someone from very humble beginnings, it was a great cause.
Casey began with “The Good Life,” and then played a song he hasn’t played publicly since October 22, “She’s Money.” “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night” was next, which was followed by a version of “Polk Salad Annie” that included a fantastic guitar part. Then he announced he was going to play “Love the Way You Miss Me,” (which confused me because he called the song “Miss Me When I’m Gone” last night so I thought he’d finally decided on a name. Guess I was wrong. LOL.) He continued with “Small Town Saturday Night” and his romping original “Crazy Tonight.” Concluding his set was “Drive.”
