Casey James Plays an Exclusive KTTS Lunchtime Concert in Springfield, MO

Casey James played a small, private show for some lucky listeners of radio station 94.7 KTTS, in Springfield, Missouri today at noon.  The Casey James Blog covered  this exclusive show held at Ernie Biggs in downtown Springfield.

According to TCJB’s Jen Lloyd, there were just thirty listeners who won access to the lunchtime concert.  Casey opened with the song he’s calling “Miss Me When I’m Gone.”  He explained that, as someone who travels a lot, he wanted to write a song about how that experience and about how the person left behind can make the distance easier for the one who’s away.  Then Jen requested “Never Walk Away” which Casey admits that, despite being one of his favorites, he doesn’t play all that often.

Casey’s third song was “The Good Life” and Casey discussed how it is a pretty literal song about finding the good in just the small, everyday things.  Then Casey played a favorite of TCJB’s Marie, the haunting “Why I’m Feeling Blue.”  His next song was his single “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night.” Casey asked if he could play another one and the crowd enthusiastically said yes, so he played one of the first songs he wrote once he moved to Nashville, the always electrifying “Drive.”

Jen called in so other fans could listen live and we have the audio which you can listen to here. Check back for photos and all the videos from today’s show.

Cute pic, Ms. Lloyd looks extremely pleased and happy posing with Casey’s arm around her. Very nice.

  2. I love how up-close these videos are! Could Casey be more adorable – kittens and puppies have nothing on him. How is that possible??? He forgets lyrics and doesn’t seem prepared but it all doesn’t matter – I can’t stop smiling. Thank you Casey! Props to the person who took the videos too!

  3. Katy says:

Why I’m Feeling Blue is my favorite now aside from when Casey sings the blues. And Never Walk Away in this video is very touching. Wow.

  4. What a treat to hear Casey sing without a lot of background noise. Thanks for the videos!

Great videos and only Casey can make it look cute when he forgets lyrics! Love it!
