Shortly after 8 tonight, Casey took the stage at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville as part of the Musicians On Call 4th Anniversary Concert, sponsored by 97.9 WSIX Nashville. Musicians on Call (MOC) is a program in which musicians volunteer to perform for hospital patients to soothe them in their time of need. Before he began his set, Casey lauded the MOC program, saying that being able to move people with music is what he got into music for.
Casey announced that all of the songs on his album have been recorded except one. Debra, Casey’s mom, was in the audience and Casey joked that he was wearing his favorite shirt, but his mom doesn’t like it because it’s all torn up. The first three songs Casey sung were: “The Good Life,” his single, “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night,” and the Matt Powell cover “Everybody Thinks That You’re Still Mine.” Then, Casey made some news when he announced that his as-yet-untitled song (which he said was called either “Love the Way You Miss Me” or “Miss Me When I’m Gone”) would be on his album! “Shine Your Shoes” was next. Casey then followed with “Undone”, the Hal Ketchum cover “Small Town Saturday Night” & ended with fingers flying on “Drive.”
