Casey James Interview — Five Songs Have Already Been Recorded for the Album

Blair Gardner of After Midnite interviewed Casey backstage at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, right after the announcement of Casey’s first single, “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night.” They discussed the new single, plans for the album (which is as yet untitled), being on the road with Sugarland, and co-writing with Kristian Bush (which Casey described as “phenomenal”).

Casey also talked about recognizing some faces in the crowd when he’s on tour and knowing that they are there to see him and how great it is to be able to share his music with the fans.  He also mentioned that they had already recorded five songs for the album, unfortunately he didn’t let slip out which five!

When asked, “Do you tweet?” He said yes immediately, then chuckled, and amended, saying “I do very randomly.”

When asked how fans can keep up with what he’s doing, Casey mentioned his Twitter site, @CaseyEJames, as well as his blog which he said was one of the best ways to keep up-to-date on what he’s doing.  They also discussed what was the strangest thing of Casey’s he’s seen for sale on EBay (he actually never looked) and what sound check is all about.

Haaa …. I teased Gino about keeping Casey’s hair when he cut it and selling it on E-Bay. He laughed. Said it never occurred to him.
