There is a new, terrific review of Casey’s single “Let’s Don’t Call it a Night” from the good people over at Country Music Tattle Tale. Here’s part of what they had to say about Casey’s debut:
“Season 9 American Idol alum Casey James made his mark on the popular show with his bluesy voice, southern-rock edge, and stellar guitar skills. Now, Casey is working on his debut album release through Sony Music. His first single, “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night” is making it’s way to radio airwaves around the country, and hopefully it does well enough that we get to hear more from Casey…Because he’s good…real good.” To read the rest of the review, click here.
Country Aircheck wrote about Casey James’ visit yesterday at KSCS-FM in Arlington, TX for a private contest-winners’ show that had Casey joined by a very special guest:
Tonight, at 9:00 PM MDT, Casey will be the guest star at the annual Girl’s Night Out event held by radio station 92.3 FM KRST at Thunder Road inside Route 66 Casino Hotel. Check back for details from the event.
Today was the day where we learn how Casey’s song is doing on the chart, both for downloads and for radio adds and spins. And the news is great. Casey’s song debuted at #57 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
USA Today’s Idol Chatter said “Casey James’ Let’s Don’t Call It a Night makes its sales debut, getting 5,000 downloads in its first week.”
Yesterday there was a rare earthquake in the eastern half of the US. As luck would have it, LDCIAN was being played on Country 92.5 WWYZ Hartford when the ground shook. When we called Casey ground-breaking, we didn’t mean literally!
