Casey James Lyrics Guessing Game, Part 4

Last Saturday, at the North Canton Main Street Festival in North Canton, Ohio, Casey James debuted three new songs*,  “Crazy Tonight,” “You’ll Never Walk Away” and “The Good Life.”

The unofficial lyrics for each are below.  If you heard something different, let us know in the comments section.

Crazy Tonight

We’re headed down to Cowtown
That Friday biker crowd is rolling in
We loaded through the back door
Pull the guitars out, plug ’em in

I step up to the microphone
Check to see the sound is working right
Well I guarantee you one thing
It’s gonna get crazy tonight

Frankie’s cleaning glasses
While the barmaid watches ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Just wait a couple hours
There’ll be 15 girls dancing on the bar

They’ll be swinging from the rafters
Underneath those neon lights
I guarantee you one thing
It’s gonna get crazy tonight

It’s gonna get crazy
We might stay ’til morning light
But it won’t faze me
Everything’s gonna be alright
We’re gonna get crazy tonight

Gonna get crazy
We might stay ’til morning light
But it won’t faze me
Everything’s gonna be alright
We’re gonna get crazy tonight

It’s gonna get crazy tonight
Gonna get crazy tonight

You’ll Never Walk Away

I had a dream that I woke to find
You were flying along through the friendly skies
Traveling far to a warmer place
Trying to change the life we made

Swimming alone in a sea of blue
Letting the tide bring you to the moon
Whether by boat or whether by train
I know that you have to leave
It’s the world you need to see
Promise me that you’ll never walk away

Fast as a fleeting thought you run
And disappear like the setting sun
Whether for a week or whether for a day
I know that you have to leave
It’s the world you need to see
Promise me that you’ll never walk away

Like fields of cotton dressed in white
Winds that blow through desert nights
None of these will make you feel at home
City lights in distant places
Unfamiliar nameless faces
None of these will make you feel at home

I had a dream then I woke to find
You were sound asleep laying by my side
You opened your blue-green eyes to see
This beautiful life you made with me

This beautiful life you made with me
This beautiful life you made with me

The Good Life

Cup of coffee and a clearer head
Jelly over warm cornbread
Feeling ready for whatever the day’s gonna bring

Old boots, socks are new
Neighbors waving, sky is blue
I may be almost broke but this feeling is free

No doubt I’m right where I belong
No part of this road feels wrong
It looks like the good life’s coming on strong

Kids laugh, radio sings
Bees buzzing, grass is green
Smell of charcoal burning on the breeze

And up ahead half a mile
I stop in to see her smile
Thank you Lord for that angel watching over me

No doubt I’m right where I belong
No part of this road feels wrong
It looks like the good life’s coming on strong

Like forgiveness on Sunday
Or syrup and pancakes
We’re meant to be
She opens the door
And she jumps in my arms
Yeah it’s easy to see

No doubt I’m right where I belong
No part of this road feels wrong
It looks like the good life

Finally my steps are steady and true
And it’s all because of you
It looks like the good life’s coming on strong
Coming on strong

  2. Fifi says:

    On this line on CT…

We might stay ’til morning light
    But it won’t phase me

    >> Doesn’t FAZE (in lieu of phase) make more sense?

    • Jen says:

Yes it does. Thanks! We’ll update that.

    • TCJB says:

Only if you want to be grammatically correct. 🙂 Thanks for the fix!

      • Fifi says:

And who says Casey James is bad with grammar, just cos of Let’s Don’t Call it a Night? LOL. But he ought to change his Twitter profile from “Just a simple man that loves” to “Just a simple man WHO loves…”

I’m kidding. My ill attempt to sound smart-a$$ :p

Thanks sooo much for figuring out the lyrics. I’m a bit crazy for The Good Life right now.

  3. Carolyn says:

You’ll Never Walk Away is pure poetry. I’m really impressed

  4. Diane Z says:

Don’t know if the lyrics from “every” song are a representation of what is happening in Casey’s life…but I like that he seems to write from his heart ❤ ~ (beautiful)
